Inspiration

During my trip to California this past weekend to do some engagements and family shoots, I thought about doing a little something for myself--something to spark my imagination, inspire my creativity, and foster joy in my art and what I love. I asked my sweet friend Lauren to help me out, and we set off at 7am saturday morning with a few props, a few locations in mind, and a desire for some creative fun.

My idea for this "inspirational shoot" was simply to represent a kind of peace and contentment; the kind that comes from natural joys, from soaking in the sunshine, and spending some quiet time alone in favorite places.
